‘Makola’ means ‘Good’ in Tumbuka, the language of Northern Malawi. No two items are identical— slight variations should be embraced. Every Yewo order comes with a hand-sewn linen bag, a jewelry care card, and a polish pad to help maintain your item.

Yewo’s jewelry is made from brass, which is made up of copper + zinc and is nickel free. Yewo’s earring posts are made from hypoallergenic Sterling Silver and the backs are silver-plated brass that contains no nickel or plastic.
